Behold Ghaleon the Magic Emperor. This Gray Elf, was the major villian in Lunar and by far the most coolest in the Lunar series, which were relesed on Sega CD. Which is why many people don't know of this man. Ghaleon in Lunar the Silver Star was the head of the Magic Guild of Vane, a flying city of magic. He was known as one of the four great heroes of the past who along with three others saved the Goddess Althena who gave birth to the world of Lunar. He and his best friend Dyne were by far the most well known of the four heroes. But years after they had saved Althena. She gave Dyne and Ghaleon another task which was to defeat the ancient corupt Black Dragon. Ghaleon saw this as a hopless mission, but not he nor Dyne questioned the goddess. They went to defeat in the Black Dragon, which they were successful in doing, unfortunetly at the cost of Dyne's own life. After this Ghaleon came to realize one thing. That the god's would sit back and command the mortals to solve the problems the god's had started themselves. Ghaleon enraged became obssesed with taking revenge on the goddess Althena and became the true and only ruler of Lunar without the God's. Ghaleon joined up with Xenovia the sorceress and leader of the Vile Tribe. With his power and knowledge he quickly became the lord of the vile tribe and became known as the magic emperor. He advanced all throughout the southern lands of Lunar conquering everything. Though the people in the northern lands knew of the Magic Emperor they had no idea that it was Ghaleon. And thus Ghaleon continued his title as premier of the world famous Magic Guild of Vane. Later came along Alex who idolized Dyne and wished to become a Dragon Master like his hero. He eventually met Ghaleon in Vane and Ghaleon asked Alex if he would escort him to the hidden layer of Quark the White Dragon, who had played and equal role in what Althena had done to Dyne. When Alex and Ghaleon came to the Dragon's lair, Ghaleon's true color's emerged, he revieled his plans to the White Dragon and then destroyed him while Alex watched helplessly. As Ghaleon left, Quake explained that now that he will die the goddess will be venurable to Ghaleon's attack and that Alex must become a Dragon Master in order to stop Ghaleon. Ghaleon searched all throughout Lunar for Althena who was disguised in the human form Luna who was Alex's girl friend. Ghaleon eventually captured Luna, and enslaved her power. Then he created his ultimate weapon known as the Grindary and destroyed the city of Vane. Ghaleon began to march all over Lunar conquering everything. Later on Ghaleon learned that Dyne was still alive, though he hesitated he knew that he had gone much to far to hault his dream. Alex now a Dragon Master broke in to the Grindary along with his friends and fought against Ghaleon, in the end Ghaleon was defeated and Althena was saved... Over right.....Not yet.

After the passage of 1000 years, evil began to awake across Lunar. The Dark God of Destruction Zophar was being revived, and the true Althena was no where to be found after Alex had past away. The child of the Blue Star Lucia came down to Lunar to prevent the ressurection of Zophar. She became a friend with Hiro, and Hiro offered to take her to the holy city where it is said the goddess was. Zophar had breathed life back into the former Magic Emperor Ghaleon to server as his dark general. Ghaleon made the journey much more difficult for Hiro and Lucia, but in the end, Ghaleon had spared there lives and betrayed Zophar to pay back Dyne for his past and the world of Lunar for what he had done 1000 years ago. When Zophar learned of this he withdrew his power from Ghaleon and once again Ghaleon died...
So thats sums it up that is Ghaleon's history through Lunar and Lunar II. This character it seems they paid more attention to his storyline and character then any other in Lunar...
